Geokos A&A is a specialized company in geotechnical and geological engineering

Our scope of work encompasses fieldwork, geotechnical drilling, field testing, geomechanical laboratory testing, geotechnical consulting, and design. We operate in Kosovo, Albania, and the region. Our team analyzes the physical and mechanical properties of soils and rocks to determine the most effective conditions for design and construction. Equipped with modern drilling and testing facilities, our accredited laboratory ensures the integrity of test results, accurate determination of rock and soil parameters, and enables us to find solutions for constructing foundations for various structures.

For almost 30 years, Geokos A&A has been providing geotechnical services for various projects, including diverse commercial, industrial and residential projects in Kosovo and Albania. Our experience in design and consulting encompasses foundations, retaining wall systems, slope stability, soil improvement, etc.

History

Geokos A&A was established in 1993 as a private company with 4 employees and equipped with a GDR-150 drilling machine. We initially engaged in hydrological research and drilling for both individual and collective projects. In 2000, we expanded our services to various non-governmental organizations. By 2002, we were registered by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure as N.N.SH. Geokos A&A, a company engaged in geotechnical, geological, hydrogeological activities, and excavation works. During this period, we invested in personnel, machinery, and additional equipment. Since September 26th, 2005, we have operated as a general partnership under the name N.N.SH. Geokos A&A and, in response to demand, established a geotechnical laboratory. We continuously upgraded the laboratory facilities. In 2005, N.N.SH. Geokos A&A achieved accreditation from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, certified by TUV NORD on 02/11/2009 with EN ISO 9001:2008, and certified by Bureau Veritas with EN ISO 9001:2008 on 01/11/2012. Presently, Geokos A&A possesses the staff and infrastructure necessary to undertake tasks for which it is accredited and certified. We maintain regular communication with local and international experts in the field of Geotechnics and Geology for various projects. Today, we continue our operations as Geokos A&A O.P. and hold licenses from the Ministry of Trade and Infrastructure, as well as certification from Bureau Veritas with ISO 9001:2017."
